“Don’t it always seem to go
That you don’t know what you got till it’s gone
They paved paradise and put up a parkin’ lot.”
Big Yellow Taxi, Joni Mitchell
Jerry Fishenden posts a summary of a round-table meeting he attended at the House of Lords this week.  The Register also had a take on the meeting and it’s clash between Sir Tim Berners-Lee and Phorm’s Kent Ertugrul.  Both are worth reading.

The Register also covered Google’s launch of “behavioural ads” and includes the link to opt-out of Google’s scheme.

We all take our online privacy, and the value of our behavioural data much too lightly and it is interesting to contrast the UK government’s approach so far to the much stronger and fleeter response of the US government.  As usual, Jerry provides some real-life context to the issues.
