The Power of Ponder

This is worth … well … pondering“How to be more intelligent” is, I think, less about becoming more intelligent per se, and more about using the mental faculty we already have to good purpose.  It is too easy to accept the received opinion.  It is comforting to align to the loudest or neatest argument.  In a world of constant interruption and fragmented attention, it takes real effort to chew and digest information thoroughly.  Broadening our perspective requires an investment in time.  But strategic insight and considered argument are invaluable qualities, especially to a freelancer / consultant / interim manager who needs to bring value to their clients every day.
