Will the Gig Economy be the Death of HR? – HRZone
HRZone have just published an article I wrote for them on the HR and organisational dimension of the increased use of sovereign professionals: interims, freelancers and contractors.
The piece was enhanced by some insightful observations from my IIM colleague, Ad van der Rest. As both co-Chair of the Institute of Interim Management and a practicing Interim HR Director, Ad sees both sides of the organisation / individual interface and gave me some valuable insights for which I’m most grateful.
I am interested to see what people think. Do you agree that there is a huge opportunity for HR to drive strategic impact or is it truly the death of HR?
