Great Storytelling to Grow Your Business–Fast Company

A great piece from Kaihan Krippendorff on the Fast Company blog about using storytelling skills to drive engagement and change.

Krippendorff focuses on two aspects: using a story structure or “spine” and using LOTS (language of the senses).

The story spine is at the heart of all good storytelling and reminds me of Peter Guber’s Tell To Win (that I’ve talked a lot about)  as well as more fiction-orientated books like The Writer’s Journey.

LOTS is a great reminder of the importance of playing to people’s learning styles by using visual, auditory and kinaesthetic language to tickle the appropriate senses.

Well worth a read.
