Blowing my Tiny Trumpet on LinkedIn
According to an email that dropped into my Inbox today (mine and 20 million others’), I have “one of the top 10% most viewed LinkedIn profiles for 2012”.
Except that I have a rough idea how many times my profile has been visited (from the “Your profile has been viewed by X people in the last Y days.” messages when I go to LinkedIn) and – on a global scale – it’s not exactly huge.
I don’t wish to seem ungrateful but if I’m in the top 10%, I worry about the 90%. And that makes me ponder just how useful LinkedIn actually is.
