The pros and cons of freelancing

It gives a great overview of the freelancing, Sovereign Professional lifestyle and sector.  The data is from the US but I feel it’s broadly applicable, certainly to the UK and probably other similar economies.

Interesting points for me were on earnings, lifestyle, work-life balance, optimism and entrepreneurialism.  I’ve touched on some of these in the past as other data-points have been published and I think they are particularly pertinent in today’s UK where there is a strong theme regarding the “reluctant and down-trodden” freelancer; the no-choice, no-hoper.  That’s not the picture here…

And, with regard to my previous post, this is a GOOD infographic.
