When people get around to writing dictionaries – #Writing

Kurt at Cultural Offering has a great story about Willmoore Kendall, which in turn comes from the National Review.

From the latter, I rather liked this quote:

“It is not a sign of arrogance for the king to rule. That is what he is there for.”

I hadn’t heard of Willmoore Kendall, before. I’m either insufficiently American, or insufficiently educated. Quite possibly both.

Even from his very short Wikipedia entry, he sounds a fascinating character.
