Conquering my administrative Everest
As inspiration and desperation flow – here and here and here and here – I have decided this year to experiment with a new administrative algorithm to provide extra desk space. I’m not sure if it will be successful or, indeed, if it will catch on in a more general sense but I’m willing to try new things.
It’s called “filing” and with its dark magic I have converted the untamed and precipitous peak that had evolved on the edge of my desk into a wonder of administrative agriculture, each client and project with its own, clearly-labelled furrow in a pull-out contraption known as a “drawer”.
Everest, and its slowly spreading foothills, is no more although I appear to have broken my plough plow shredder in the process.
Now, I read somewhere about a concept called “paperless office” …
