I’ve just come across a couple of interesting perspectives.

Firstly, a fascinating piece from Shawn Coyne over on Steven Pressfield Online.  Shawn, an agent and former publisher himself, discusses the challenges facing smaller publishers, and writers looking to be published by them.

Serendipitously, I also came across this report of Amazon looking to use the wisdom of the crowds to find new authors.
