All Gone Home

I have just written a piece which explores the “people” aspects of moving to a partially virtual, or hybrid, organisational model.  It opens with an overview of the confluence of factors which are leading firms to consider such a move and then explores what can be learnt from existing research on remote working.  Essentially, it is all about the flip-side of the world of freelancing, free agents, portfolio careers and sovereign professionals: a world of leaner, more agile organisations with small cores and a pool of external, expert partners to draw on.

At the same time, I have created a new page – Papers and Downloads – on this site which, over time, I will populate with “thought papers”, sample writing work and other random thoughts too lengthy for a blog post.  The paper, All Gone Home, is up there now.  All thoughts or feedback welcome.
