Hemingway on Writing
Courtesy of the Paris Review, via Nicholas Bate, a fascinating interview from 1958: Ernest Hemingway interviewed by George Plimpton.
The scene-setting introduction and responses (though occasionally testy) offer a marvellous insight into Hemingway’s hugely disciplined approach to his craft.
Herewith, my rather inadequate shot of Hemingway’s home in Key West from which you can’t see the pool, the balcony or the 60-odd, over-toed cats.
This, from wikipedia, is more flattering but similarly denuded of its cats.
